Default PokerStars Seems OK

I've been checking out PokerStars over the last couple of days. I'm not too crazy about the graphics, but the play seems reasonable so far. It has a large player base at about 70K to 80K players. Being a micro player, I like the $0.10 plus $50 added Turbo tournaments. I've won a couple of bucks playing their $0.10/0.25 NLHE ring games.

How tough is it to earn the sign on Bonus?
How has ev1 else been making out at PS?
Out with PartyPoker, and in with PokerStars ...

stars is good site.. i'm now searching the way to deposit there (because they are not accepting money bookers, and credit cards from here are not accepted everywhere).

i like blind structure on multi table tournaments there, and this is the main reason i will continue to search for the method to deposit there

Thanks for da heads-up Sunny. I checked out the instructions and playing on a $0.50/$1.00 NHE will get me 1 FPP when the rake is greater than $0.40. The rake at Stars is 5%, so the pot has to reach at least $8 in order to get 1FPP.

Comparing this to Party, you would get 1 RH when the rake is greater than $0.50, which is 10%. They don't rake the pot unless it get to at least $5. All you have to do is get dealt a hand in order to be eligible.

Soooo Stars is harder to accumulate FPPs, but you get raked less. I prefer Party's stucture better. I did hit a nice hand tonight. Top set on the flop, with one opponent who capped the betting with me on the Turn and River. My set turned into a Full house on the Turn. So far, so good.

That seems to be a good level (1-2 LHE) to play at to clear the bonus. I like the relatively fast play on their ring games. Lucky for me, I have 6 months to clear the bonus.

It's official ... PokerStars is a lovely, lovely site. I just finished 500 RHs in two weeks on the Limit tables and got awarded the Sign of Bonus. Their cashouts are weird. They deposited my original cashout ($50 in my case) back to my wallet (Neteller), then they review any monies above that. I got the remainder of my request about 6 hours after my initial request. I just found me a new HOME Homies.

PokerStars has been good to me for quite a while. Between this forum and another forum league I play in, my play has improved quite a lot. Add that to playing on PokerStars, and I have found that playing the $5 SNG and some of the qualifier rebuy tournaments (usually the $2 or $3 ones), has been very profitable. I deposited $50 about 3 months ago, and my bankroll there is right now at $260. I would suggest it for anyone that has a strong game. I would suggest staying away from the turbo SNG, too much of a crap shoot, since you have 18 people in most of them, and the blinds go up way to quick. If you are on there an looking for a cash game, look me up and let me know through chat. I am CEMFromMD on PokerStars. CEMFredMD on Poker.com and Full Tilt.

I am looking at the bright side of that "Law" being passed. It brought me to PokerStars and there are Fish-a-Plenty. In the $3 Turbo SnGs, nobody raises and people are gettin blasted by trips and garbage two pairs. It's great.
