Hmmm ... Well, I'd say that your first mistake was expecting 923 players in a $30 freeroll to play as if they were risking real money. Other than that, I'd say that you played it aggressively and protected your top pair, as you should have.

You played it fine, but I agree, expect a lot of Bad Beats when playing Freerolls. You will win most of those types of hands, but Freerollers will hope to hit something on the flop, then chase.
