I took the wifey shopping last night and finally remembered to bring my laptop to pass the time with some poker over the WiFi. Unfortunately, the mall filters out all Pokerrooms AND Poker Chat Rooms. What a disappointment to sit there and read news for two hours. Anyone else play online poker away from home? I have played a little at coffee bars.

I can play poker from anywhere now, using my laptop and my Bluetooth phone (Treo 650.) I set the phone up for Dial-Up Networking, and use it as a modem for the laptop. It's not ultra fast, but is faster than standard dial-up.

Well, I should clarify. I can play from anywhere that I can get a Sprint signal, which is pretty much near any metro area, large town, or interstate highway.

Now there is a great idea. I'll have to check out what the deal is with Verizon. The weekends are virtually unlimited.
