Effective immediately, I am resigning as a moderator of the BBP forums. As long-time members may have noticed, BBP Guru and I have not been as active lately, and this is because the site has been sold to a new owner, who has chosen not to compensate the site admins.

Since I have received no contact from the new site owner regarding continued moderation, I will be taking my contributions elsewhere.

During the months that I was moderator, I feel like I got to know some of you rather well, and I will miss the freerolls and discussions we used to have here on BBP, but with no clear indication of the site's future direction, I feel I must move on. Thanks for participating in some of the best poker forums, freerolls, and leagues that the Web has ever offered, everyone. Good luck!

Note: This does not indicate any sort of end for the site; I have no idea what the new owner's plans are. This message only means that I will not be moderating these forums any longer.

I've enjoyed posting with all y'all for the past year. I can't even say how much it's helped my ring game and tournie play. I came back from zero to well into the black.

So thanks to all the mods and Guru for your efforts this year. I will continue to post as BBP is my main room.

I will probably hang around a bit, and will continue posting occasionally, but I won't be as active in moderating. If they keep the moderating permissions on my account (they have so far) and I see something particularly offensive to me or the spirit of the site, I will probably not be able to resist fixing it. That's just me.

I've seen a few chat-rooms disappear recently.

1) Is it because a lot of the sponsorship money is drying up?
2) How much (ballpark) does a moderator get per month?
3) Was there a minimum time required per week?
4) How much is a site like BBP worth (approximately)?
5) How much does it cost to keep it up (the Forum, Gutter-boys, the Forum)?

I won't be able to sleep until I see the answers.

I am realy verry new here, but this is one of the best venues to talk,learn,and discuss poker as a whole,
