Talking 100 player feild live poker tourney

Lasy year a couple friends and i hosted our first big tourney with over 100 people...we rented a hall and hosted the no limmit unlimmited re-buy in first hour and one add-on @end of first hour tourney, and what a sucess it was we had a poker-rific good time...we paid for bouncers to wach the heavier drinkers and the guys who thought mabye they should have won the hand they just lost...this we were actually really scared about as the buy in was 60 bucks pluss 60 dollar add-on's and re-buys and we thought emotions might get out of hand sometimes...but everything was perfictly fine and we all had a blast!
anyways that was last year and now we are getting ready to host another tourney.....we have been asking people to give us all kinds of feedback so we can immprove our hosting and your playing experience...which brings me to a question i pose to all of you BBP forum users
if anyone can think of any new ideas or anything that we could do that would add to the experience of playing in a big poker tourney...PLEASE let me know as we are looking to improve are already rave reviewed poker tourney
i am shayner66 and anyone intrested in playing let me know...we are in the windsor/detroit area...leamington is the town!
we should be ready in about a month to proceed to next step of getting a hall again and the dates will be set up after that!
thanks!

The best thing you can do is have dealers at every table. Not the players. I play and I deal and the biggest complaint the players have is when the game is "self-dealt". This is the first time alot of these people have played in a live game and they're not used to dealing let along playing live. Dealers where I work and play usually except $100 (this is from a $10 add-on that we have - we don't have re-buys) with your best dealer dealing the Final Table and tips are always appreciated. A tee shirt for the first person knocked out is always good. Nobody wants to go home a loser so have door prizes every half hour. Playing cards, chips and hats are good. Don't try to run the game and play in it too. It's just too much. Have fun and make it to the Final Table.

how on earth did you manage to get 100 players?

Did you advertise it, or just well known?
