This isn't a specific bad beat story, but a general bad beat that happens to me a lot. Firstly, I've found that online people bet on inside straight draws a lot. There have been countless times when I bet a bunch on the turn with a good hand and they call with only an inside straight draw. I don't know what the exact odds are, but to call a big bet with a inside straight draw, isn't smart, in fact, it's dumb. The thing that makes this a bad beat story is that lots of times they make it, sometimes on some pretty big pots. Moral of the story, don't be one of them, play smart.

Why do people do this? Because they are new to the game, don't have a clue about pot odds or outs or they just dont have a clue when they are built. Online Poker is a great invention, but it is tough to whether the storm when you might have 4 or 5 people drawing out on you at a single time. But remember don't tilt out after this happens, dont lower you calling standards, continue to play tight and eventually lady luck will rise to your side.

I hate it when people bet mad money with their shot at the inside straight. It's ridiculous, the odds are just crazy and still. And I call if I have a 2 pair on the flop and guess what, magically the person hits their straight. It always happens when I play don't know why.

Straight draws are the perfect time to thik about pot odds. Think about them every stp of the way and you should be ok. Generally it is NOT a good idea to chase straights past the flop. Inside straights are just suicidal to play.... If you notice someone go all in on a sraight chance and get it then rejoice! Thats a lot of money you can win off him.. next time you put him on a straight draw just make him payt for it every step of the way..if you pair up you may as well put him all in.. if hes crazy enough to go all in on a straight chase you may be lucky enough to get a call.
