I like to stick to the TURBO games. They are especially good on Noble. Ten minute increases every ten minutes that start at 5/10 take forever. Expecially if you are playing against a really converservative player. The TURBO games really mimimize this and make heads up much more enjoyable.

I usually like to play aggresively in heads up, and I often find that people playing at these stakes are too passive and I'm able to take advantage of that. However, with these blind playing aggresivly does nothing at the beggining. So what if I'm able to collect the blinds, 5 added on to my 1,000 does nothing. I think blinds should start with at least with the big blind being a 25th of your chips, meaning with each person starting off with 1,000 chips, the blinds should be 20/40. Just my opinion, I'm interested to know what you think.

Use the time to get to know your player. He is notgoing to change all that much in the time you are gonna get to the big blinds, see where he changes gears before you will take a hit.then you will be able to cripple him when the money comes. Good luck

Lower blinds in heads up definitely favors the more skilled player and alleviates the advantage that an over aggressive player may have because in a tourney by the time you hit last two the blinds are usually huge. This first phase is the building phase in a heads up match where you jocky for position and look for betting patterns. In a heads up tourney, early phase, over aggressive play will kill you ever time. Instead of looking for higher, rapidly increasing blinds I suggest you try to master the low, slow rising blind game and for this you will become a better overall player.

a good strategy for heads up sitngo in my opinion is that early in the games when the blinds are low, u can afford to lose some money. so be a calling station to see what sort of cards he's raising with on the flop, or checking etc. things to check are-
-if he actually bet on the flop after hitting something or if he just bluffed it
-if he bluffed it, will he continue trying or make a halt as soon as u called him
-did his bet size get large because he hit something on the turn/river.
- if he keeps raising preflop with crap hands or only raise when he has a decent hand heads up

chances are in the early stage, if u become a calling station, u'll see his hand but not show urs, good way to find out how he plays without spending much chips.
once ur down to 80% of ur chips, then u should start playing. as you are the better player (u are the best right?), starting properlywith less chips won't damage u so much, and besides u gained a bit of information about him while he hasn't gained much from you.

try variating your play alot in Heads up. when u hit top pair kings, sometimes bet out, sometimes just check it etc.
when u hit trips, bet out some times and check sometimes. in heads up, if u hit trips, then he probably didn't hit much so it's good idea to give him some cards to hit something and bet at you. but sometimes u should still bet the trips to cover your play.

there are often maniacs who go all in alot of the time early in the game, just fold to them unless you have AA,KK,QQ,JJ,AK
after you make his chipstack go down to 25% of the original starting amount, you can afford to call his all in with anyhand, 2 low cards is not that much behind two overcards.
chances are you'll still be able to luck out on him, if he doubles up, heck he still only got 50% of his original starting amount and u have 150% of your orignal starting amount.

The lower blind lets you play the player a little more to get somewhat of a read on them. If you start the blinds at 25% of your chips most heads up winners become the player who is dealt the best cards instead of who is the better player.

IF you're playing low blinds, make sure to try and see every single flop. Don't fold to any medium pre-flop raises, you would be suprised how many odd combos you can catch with rags! Heads up is the best way to make money..... the odds are better than at a live table or in a tournament. 50/50 is fine with me anyday over 1/500

online poker is really hard to play sometimes cause the people I HAVE PLAYED AGAINST lately have been calling me with anything even if the blinds ae 25 cents/ 50 cents and i raised to 3 dollars i would get like 7 callers out of ten people. they would call with like 2 9 and take down pocket kings and then after they would would rub it in saying that they were so good and thats wat you get for playing against them. i would bet thought that if we played live they would not cal with those hands at all and would not rub it in. the only reason they do that is cause i cant beat him up or he can not get embarrased cause no one knows who they are. there is only a name that they made up. so overall i like to play live cause of the hands they play. sometimes it works out for me but other times when it doesnt it does feel good inside to get beaten with 27 or 4 10 or even 29. so yea overall i do not know what to tell you except for you to becareful who ou play online and it is really hard to read an online person. thanks

If you're in the last position, play anything by just calling the blind of 10. 5/10 is chump change... try to see the flop.. if sum1 raises, big deal, u lost 10 chips.... that WONT hurt you i promise. In order to play hands later on you will need a massive amount of chips. So gather them all during the low blind period of time. YOu can be far more reckless in the first 15 minutes of a tournament. Can you imagine a bunch of guys with over 1k in cash sitting at a table with .02/.04 cent blinds? they would play EVERY hand, including ..... as would all of us in that position. I personally prefer a blind change every 20 minutes rather than 10. Although, tournies seem to last far too long, which gets boring and i start getting sick of playing so i make STUPID moves in the dead middle of the tourney and lose all my chips like an idiot... ;|
