sucking out to get beat This isnt really a bad beat but it really cost me a lot of money and hurt badly.
I had K Q and raised preflop and got one caller, the small blind. The flop comes 10 10 3 and he checks so I make a continuation bet that he calls. The turn is an Ace and he checks again, there were two hearts on the flop so Im figuring he has a flush draw or low pockets and I make a large bet that he smooth calls. The river is a Jack so I hit a runner runner straight and he checks again. I bet large hoping he has a 10 or an ace and he raises all in, which I call. He had pocket 10s and flopped quads.
I know that isnt that bad but later in the tourney the same exact thing happened where I hit a runner runner inside straight and my only opponent had flopped a boat. |
