| One question i have is... how do professional poker players come up consistantly? say they arrange to only play with a certain amount per day, like 1,000. If they play for several hours, eventually wont they get a bad beat and loose that thousand? My question is: How do you avoid bad beats that deplete your days poker bankroll after playing for such long hours?

| They all win in the long run so bad beats might make a dent in there bankroll but overall they end up winners. Also, if they are smart they don't play above their bankroll so if they have a bad run of cards they can't be busted. |

| I've been in the position to double up on a heads up and then want to play higher stakes right off. I'll try to find the page I read before, it's from Ferguson I believe about how to make $10k starting with zero, but it says that they start with low limit games and continuously play them not risking over about 5-10% of your total bankroll. |
