I prefer the ones with no or only one rebuy..I really don't mind one rebuy...but the unlimited one are ridiculous...Also I do prefer NL holdem but for a change of pace i aslo enjoy some omaha hi-lo

when I first heard about rebuys and add ons I was sickened....it seemed like they were closer to a cash game than a tourny!!! I still ended up entering a couple, (maybe it was just luck) but I've done better in them than any other kind of tourny.

I realized that the rebuy part doesn't really bother me because its just a player putting money it to have 1000 chips later in the game (which is really just a dissadvantage to him as the blinds are higher but he has the same starting stack). I still hate add ons...they are just lame, but I tend to buy them because I feel like if I don't I may be risking tons of prize money...still...they make me feel dirty inside.

I guess I still PREFER freezeouts, but becaue of my recent success in add ons/rebuys, its strange of me to prefer them? I don't know, I guess I'm willing to enter and try and win either, so thats what matters!

you are absolutely right..the rebuy part sucks...i saw guys that rebuy 10 times but the bad part is that they go all in with shity cards like 3 6 or 5 9 and they bust you with 3 of a kind or str8s and most of all they go all in preflop !!
That's why i like freezout tournaments the most...and a lot of sit'n'go tournaments

Cheers,

Same here, i like Freezeouts better, altho sometimes the Re-Buys can be a good thing because all that extra money that people are putting in are being added to the prize money.

So if your doing well in a Re-Buy tournament, your kinda hoping that more and more people add more money to that guaranteed prize so you could end up with a lot more than what was 1st posted up.

Yean, and i love Sit and Go's, especially the 20 seated ones, because theres more money involved.

Ive been playing a lot of Nobles Sit and Go promotions with the $2 Dirty Dozen Jackpot, win 4 in a row and you win over $2000.

Ive come so close to winning this thing.
I won 3 in a row only to get knocked out on the 4th game by some guy with worse cards than me but he ended up sucking out a card.

But i'll keep trying.

wow...same story here for the 15000$ bonus ... i was at my last one...5 players remaining...i was dealt A Ks and i go all in with the chip leader after he re-raised me...he had A J suited...the flop doesn't improve him at all...only think that would have saved him was a J or runner runner flush so very small chances... the turn comes a K but wis not out yet...if the river card would be another spade he would have made his runner-runner nuts flush..and there it comes the river : i can remember it like it was yesterday...an f**king 8 of spades...i was in 3rd position when that hand came but my chips we're almost equal to the one the player in the 2nd position have...but heck...life
s very cruel sometimes...was so close to a 15000$ bonus...that would have been my biggest win in poker all my life...

Maybe next time !

Cheers,

I prefer the freeze out for 1 reason, people play reckless the 1st hour so it is very difficult to get a read on them. With that said though I have made more money on rebuy tournaments than freezeouts.
There are just more rebuy tournaments when I am able to play. I cash in freezeout tournaments, on a percentage basis, alot more than rebuys.

I go for Freeze out just because when you play rebuy people are playing so horrible and alway get lucky... I have noticed playtech reward people making
awful move...
I really like Pokerstars and UltimateBet those are the best tournaments and biggest payout...
Pokerstars has 500k tournament every week only cost $215 total buyin
also 700k for every month... Pokerstars is the best site to praticed tournaments games out there more real and professional
GL to anyone if they bother to play there

Cheers

I have played on PokerStars at the play money tables. I don't know if the real money tables are different from the play money, but it seems like every time I play there the men at the tables like to call me filthy names. What is up with that?

I am fairly new to the game of poker and don't really know what they mean by Freezeouts. Can you tell me what Freezeouts are?

Also what game of poker do you play? Is it NL Holdem, Pot Limit, Limit, Omaha, or what?

So far the only game I have been playing is NL Holdem. Wasn't really into playing poker at all until I met someone that plays it nearly 24/7. So to occupy my time now, I play on-line poker. I have really learned alot from him since January.

Freeze out means u pay a buyin and get a certain amount of chips and that's it. Rebuys consist of being able to buy back into the game when u run out of chips.
in Freezeout the money u pay at the start is the only time u can. and u can't rebuy more chips if ur broke. so if ur out of the game, ur out for good

i think most people in this forum, and any other forum for that matter, plays mostly NL.
if ur thinking of playing online poker more seriously, u should definitely look around the forum more for interesting articles ,and especially the bonuses.
don't sign up to lots of poker websites. chances are ur gonna miss out on lots of bonuses and promotional advantages.
best thing to do is wait for special occasions (like the WSOP) although that's abit far away now...
anyways, signing up through affiliates (like Blindbetpoker) is much advantageous.
and don't sign up to so many cuz u'll regret later on for having signed up to too many poker sites already (like me).
u'll miss special promotions like a New players freeroll for a million dollar (although that's abit exaggerated).
