I've just stumbled across this site .... http://www.cs.cmu.edu/People/mummert/poker/
and it was very useful to me and my genral poker game. The basic idea is that this bunch of uni-studenst over in who-knows-where, invented a system which ran millions of poker hands at various tables , (tables ranging from extreamely tight to loose). The purpose oif this test was to determine the rankings of the pre-flop holdem hands. They came up with a few surpising points, many of which are quite contrary to accepted poker literature.

Of course it is important to note that these tests in now way determine your winnings($) only how often the poket cards won the round... But hey I'd like you to give it a read and tell me if it changed the way you play. Its a bit long winded but the intro is mainly dealing with their system which they used ot test it.. scroill down about halfway to see their card rankings and such.

In truth I found the presentation rambling. I would have liked a simpler presentation. One chart best 30 would suit me best.
