| I think I have gotten really good at Omaha HL. The one thing I hate about it is when you get heads up in a tourney you split a lot of pots and it makes the tourney drag out for a long time. People online don't know how to play Omaha and just try to get lucky. All you have to do is sit back and wait for a nice hand and then play pretty strongly, you will win most of the time.

| I suck at any game besides Hold Em. I just can't catch any cards in poker when on a draw or something. Like in H/L when you have 4 to a low and and know they are good but need another low card to come off and the next 2 cards couldn't be higher. This happens to me way too much. I just don't get lucky enough to win at this game.

Im not talking about calling when the pot as been bet and then it has been raised, or playing it in early postion. I just think that it is a good hand to play if you are in middle or late postion and you have acouple limper in front of you. That way you can see a cheap flop. Also those limper probaly have good low hands, so if you can caught a good flop you will more times than not scoop the pot which is the main object of H/L.

| I have really tried to learn to play Omaha high/lo. It seems that people are more willing to call to see the pot and the person who goes big first is shooting for the low win. What are the smart hands to play pre-flop. I just can't seem to figure this game out. (Of course I probably will never figure it out). I would just like to play this game with a little more confidence than I play now. The only times I play omaha h/l are freerolls so that could also play a role in the strategy being used by others. |

| Party Poker Pot Limit Omaha Ring game Blinds: $0.10/$0.25 9 players Converter I have observed MP1 open with a lot of big pairs regardless of door cards. No read on UTG. (I guess this converter doesn't do stack sizes.... all full stacks) Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is BB with 4 A 2 2 UTG calls, UTG+1 folds, MP1 raises to $1.1, 2 folds, CO calls, 2 folds, Hero calls, UTG calls. Flop: 5 4 7 ($4.5, 4 players) Hero checks, UTG checks, MP1 bets $0.25, CO calls, Hero raises to $2??? Good/Bad? Why? (is it good because I'm representing a straight or straight draw? Or because I'm likely freerolling against an overpair? Or simply because I have 50% of the twos so there's a decent chance I have the only A2?) Also, how does my play change if he doesn't make such a pansy bet? Is there any reason to ever lead this flop? Finally, I was wondering if this hand would every merit a reraise? I was thinking about this and thought, if more then 2 people were in the hand, then there are a number of people who can't have an A2 thereby increasing the strength of this holding. So, would this merit a reraise the more people that are in the hand? |
