Default Bodog Poker

This is my new favorite sites for a number of reasons...

1. Competition - To say it pure and simple, the people here suck. I've played up to $1/$2 limit, and there are tons of people just betting on straight draws and people who call with anything. I've played at a few poker sites before, and the competition here seams to be the easiest. I've also played up to $10 heads up, and I've been winning 2/3 of them and not because I have been getting lucky. Same goes for single table tournaments and multi-table tournaments, though I have yet to enter any big tournaments for more then a $5.00. Keep in mind that this also adds to a lot more bad beats. My first night here, I was getting bad beat after bad beat, probably my unluckiest night ever playing poker. By the end of the night I lost more than %60 of my deposit.

2. Software - I've played at many poker sites and I think the software here is the best. I don't like sites where you can see your 3d character at the table, it is just unneccasary and a waste of space. When I say this I am reffering to sites like noble poker and poker.com. Searching for tables is cimple and intuitive as it should be and I can't seem to think of any complaints about the software. It's nothing fancy, but that's the way I think it should be.

3. Extras - Bodog also gives you all the essential stats on your playing and lets you take notes on all the people at the table. Some nice extras

Final Thoughts...
I don't think they have any great bonuses or anything. I think there is an %20 percent deposit bonus up to a certain amount that I can't recall.

The reason I think the competition is so bad is because Bodog is also a sports betting site and I feel a lot of Sports better who aren't that great poker players come to play at the lower stakes. If my theory is correct though, the competion at the higher stake tables is probably harder. Speaking of which, there is plenty of traffic by the $10/$20 tables but that seems to be the highest playable stakes they offer.

It's true, a lot of the sites who started as betting sites and then added poker are pretty soft. They also tend to attract those "gamblers", so you make take a few bad beats.

Have you tried cashing out at Bodog? Any problems, lags, etc.?

yeah, I tried cashing out, it usually takes a few days.

I can't take the bad beats though, I just lost everything. Bad beat after bad beat after bad beat. The people there don't know how to play, and yet they keep taking all my money. I've lost so many hands to inside straight draws. And then I was playing heads up with this guy. and I played him twice. He raised every single hand, EVERY HAND AND A LOT. I finally got a good hand, Ace Jack suited AND I go all in after he raises. I went all in because I figured he was the type of person who would call that with like a queen 10. He had Ace king suited and won. The next time, in the first 5 flops I had I did not make one pair. He raised every time, if I bet he would re-raise. I was trying to slow play him, but I can't do that if I can't make a dam hand. So then I have like 500 chips left, he raises and I go all in with pocket 4s. He won. Maybe I could have played that a little better, but still, one good hand and I would have knocked him out. There were two other coin flips I had that night in heads up and I lost them both. I went back to limit and I would get great flops, I made top pair very often, But people would keep calling with Jack shit and pick up the flush or straight, and half the time they would just call with one over card and still get it. I'm so pissed, I'm taking a small break from poker, this can't be good for my self-esteem, lol.

I you don't get terrible luck I don't see why anyone whouldn't be making money off this site, but preapare for some really really bad beats.

hmm i quite like bodog, personally i have rahter less bad beats at Bodog.
though yea, i did have terrible ones.and worse is they especially come at those important places where the pot's big and ur all in

i think the bonus is quite good it used to be better when u get 6 Bodog points for 1 dollar in tourney fee. because 6 bodog points mean u "realise" 2 dollars of your bonus money. which is like double the amount u spent.
now it's down to 3 bodog points for 1 dollar so it's like getting a 100% rakeback if u play sitngo or tournaments.

as for ringgames, bonus can be quite hard since u have to contribute to the pot and 1 dollar in rake equals one bodog point etc. but to be honest having to reach 3 bodog points for a dollar isn't that hard, and besides, u get the money up front so if u blow ur entire bankroll in bodog, atleast u get to spend an extra 20% more before ur totally blown out

cahsing out is really good in bodog i think, they are one of the quicker places.

Im always looking for poker sites with soft competition and if you guys say that BoDog is one of them, i might have to check them out.
Thats the reason why i love playing at Noble, theres less trafic, software is pretty good, timing of the clocks is perfect, plenty of great bonuses and customer support and best part of all, the competition is just right.

But yeah, i'll check out BoDog and see how it is.

Well I think I will find out tonight. I joined them about 2 weeks ago but never made a deposit. They invited me to a $1000 poker school freeroll for all new members. Hopefully I can cash in and start playing the tables. I really dont want to deposit any money.

Well I would like to win the $1000 freeroll tonight so I dont have too. I play at noble and they treat me well. I have recieved quite a few bonuses there. They actually paid me $40 a day for a week to play at their limit games. I had to choose the time frame and they chose the table ,which was a .50/1 table. Not only did they give me $200 I was able to make another hundred from playing. They also had a $1000 freeroll for all participants, unfortunately I did'nt make any money in that.
