I like the 4x the BB play, but minimum raising or just calling is the quickest way to get your aces cracked. The best thing that could come out of minimum raising or limping is someone later to act making a play at the pot. If the pot is cheap then more people will be in it and you're going to lose more than you'd like.

ALL IN NO MATTER WHAT THE SITUATION WITH AA PREFLOP... I HAVE BEEN BURNED TOO MANY TIMES BY FISH WHEN I RAISE 200-500 or 5x bb. JUST TOO MANY MORONS OUT THERE TO SLOWPLAY IT. YOU WILL LOSE TO SOMETHING. IF YOU GO ALLIN, NO1 CAN BLAME YOU AND IF U LOSE YOU WENT IN WITH THE BEST HAND!!!

Haven't really been reading the forum for a while, but stopped by today. I haven't read this whole thread, but I had to comment on the post above.

This is the worst bit of knowledge that I've ever read. When you pick up AA, you are thinking of one thing only: how can I get all my chips into the middle of the pot? If you're afraid to gamble with AA, you should not be playing poker.

You're at least an 80% favourite over any other hand. There is not a single gambling situation anywhere else in the entire known universe that gives you odds as good as these.

But there is one caveat: you want to get all your chips in pre-flop. Once the flop hits, you now have one pair and are losing to any two pair, any set, any straight, any flush, etc.

So play your AA hard before the flop, if you can get it all-in then do so, and if you can't, play it smart but hard after the flop.
