THIS WOULD BE AN AWSOME MATCH! It could go either way depending on how drunk Men is...if he has over 6 drinks Men would win.

8. John Juanda vs Scotty Nguyen

9. TJ Cloutier vs Dan Harrington

10. Marcel Luske vs Sam Farha

Hahahaha.
Yeah, this is the toughest first round match and could go either way, as entertaining as Men The Master is when hes drinking, i still have to go w/Ferguson coz of his record the past couple of years.
He has the most wins in the circuit the past 5 years, which just cant be ignored.

Agreed, Ferg is the man, I'm going with him as my icon for now. Did you get to see the commercial where the TV asks "what play is best" and the guy steps out to get a bear, Ferg is inside of his fridge and gives him the answer....it is hilarious. I was cracking up.

He is an amazing player, I feel like no matter what I'm watching, whenever I tune in he is sitting at the final table. The guy is a poker genious for sure.

Of course if you threw Stu Ungar in there I'd pick him on top of any of those players in a heartbeat. Stu rocks my world.

I was thinking of putting in a lot of the older pros, but when you think about it, a lot of the new poker players probably wouldnt even know who they are.

The generation of players today are just following the trend and have no idea about the history of the game, so i figured i'll just put players who have been on TV who are recognizable.

Maybe next tournament ill put out a Legends Tournament.

4. Phil Ivey vs Barry Greenstein

5. Daniel Negreanu vs Greg Raymer

6. Howard Lederer vs Gus Hansen

1. Doyle Brunson vs Chris Moneymaker -> bit obvious? chris moneymaker ain't that good

2. Johnny Chan vs Jennifer Harman

3. Phil Hellmuth vs Annie Duke <--- we've seen it happen before! and i'd like to see it happen again. Phil hellmuth gets a little to tempered playing again'st Annie so i'm guessing annie would win

4. Phil Ivey vs Barry Greenstein <-- tough one for me, but phil ivey is more unpredictable to play with i think

5. Daniel Negreanu vs Greg Raymer <---Player of the year... and many players consider him the actual best player in the world right now... greg is pretty good as well, aggressive and everything, much better than moneymaker i think. but Daniel has what it takes to outplay him and trap him easily

6. Howard Lederer vs Gus Hansen <---tough one, Gus and howard are my two heroes. though they lie on pretty opposite ends. Howard plays more on the numbers i think, Gus plays more on aggressive unpredictability. although Gus would be amazingly hard to play against, howard has what it takes to analyze gus i think...

7. Chris "Jesus" Ferguson vs Men "The Master" Nguyen <--men all the way

8. John Juanda vs Scotty Nguyen <--scotty nguyens bluff won't work against john juanda i think...

9. TJ Cloutier vs Dan Harrington <---i don't know if harrington is good at heads up, but i can't say much for cloutier either... cloutier got the experience though, and i think he has the edge on harrington

10. Marcel Luske vs Sam Farha <--- although i don't like farha.. i think he's better

1. Doyle Brunson vs Chris Moneymaker

2. Johnny Chan vs Jennifer Harman

3. Phil Hellmuth vs Annie Duke
Phil is my favorite hands down. I know Annie beat Phil at the Tournament of Champions but she was the luckiest out of all players. Phil made some phenomenal laydowns against her and if you give him the cards Annie got, it would of been over long ago.

4. Phil Ivey vs Barry Greenstein
Am I the only one that's got a vote for Mr. Robin Hood of Poker? Remember, he was the most successful player in the last decade at one point I believe.

5. Daniel Negreanu vs Greg Raymer
I was never a Raymer fan, but after his accomplishments in back to back WSOP's he has got my respect.

6. Howard Lederer vs Gus Hansen
I am a fan of both of these players, but I have to go with The Professor on this one. Gus is more adaptive for the multi-table tournaments. When playing heads up even steven with Howard, I think Howard has the poise and disicipline to overcome the style of The Great Dane.

7. Chris "Jesus" Ferguson vs Men "The Master" Nguyen
Jesus doesn't play drunk so I will go with him.

8. John Juanda vs Scotty Nguyen

9. TJ Cloutier vs Dan Harrington

10. Marcel Luske vs Sam Farha
