So which magazines do u read and which do u think is the best?

i personally found Cardplayer the best magazine.
Canadian Pokerplayer is also good but there's lack of pages i think... interesting articles though.

All in Magazine seems to contain a little bit too much of showing past hands in tournaments. majority of the people reading the magazine probably already saw the tournament on tv so i do'nt see much point in showing past hands.

please tell me if there's any other magazines i've never heard of..

I subscribed to CardPlayer, All In, and Blufff two months ago. But i still haven't received the first copy of any of them. I think CardPlayer will be the best of them all.

i'm too cheap to do that, i go to the bookshop and read them there
there's always tons of people around the magazine rack, so it doesn't feel guilty sitting around near and reading all the magazines there.

cardplayer is the best.
it all boils down to which has the best articles about poker
i hate poker magazines that have bunch of crap that people don't wanna read...

I still havent til this day read a poker magazine.
Maybe coz ive always gotten all my information through the internet with websites like this one.
Maybe i'll check CardPlayer since you guys say its pretty good.

when u first read a poker magazine often than not u'll feel as though it's too little. in the long run the articles add up and u come across several good articles
but reading just one magazine may disappoint you.

i suggest going to the nearest bookshop and looking thorugh several of them

They give away Card Player at my local poker room. How is that for a proce...

I think Card Player unfairly is at an advantage in this poll because everyone's gotten an issue of it for free. I've never seen "All In" but I have seen it advertised on NBC during the Heads Up Poker Championship.

What I'd like to know is how do they compare to Card Player? Is it the same amount of content/thickness? Does it have less ads, but the same amount of substantive pages?

Card Player is good, it has a lot of good content. I've seen a few issues of All In, some better than the others. One issue was mainly fluff, the other had some good articles in it.

I bought a copy of Bluff magazine last month and I thought it was cool.

I'm a big fan of reading articles written by normal people playing in tournaments with the pros and Bluff had two or three articles doing just that.

There was a section talking about where to eat, where to drink, where to dance, etc. in Vegas. Kinda wasted on me because I don't plan on going to Vegas anytime soon and if I do, my wife and I would probably do something a little tamer. Actually, I'd probably spend all my time at the tables...who am I kidding...

Still, it was a good read. I probably should get a copy of Canadian PokerPlayer, seeing as how I am one (or wish I was), but I'm not that big on the Canadian media...don't know why...I blame Air Farce and other Canadian content shows forced on us Canadians.

My goal is to read all magazines eventually, but it's hard getting copies sometimes. I've seen Bluff and All-In in my grocery store, but I've only seen any others in specialty stores. I would've picked up All-In (I think it was All-In anyway), but it was bundled with a software DVD and very overpriced.

Hi Jill,

Glad to see you at here. First of all i want to thank you for organizing the Forum Challenge Freeroll. I think it was a really neat idea to get all poker forums compete against each other.

As for the TopPair magazine, I glanced at the October issue...and i liked it. Particularly i found the online browsing part pretty neat with the previous page, zoom in, zoom out etc features.. use of tons of images (specially the angels) make the online mag look even better..
I think i might have to spend some more with it now that i've started to like it.
