So...when you play online do you use an odds calculator or do you go only by instinct...i sincerily use my instinct but on real important tournaments use the odds calculator...

I calculate odds in a very basic way...

Good chance.
Fair chance.
No chance.

Might have to actually work on that, if i ever start playing with more than a couple bucks real money..

No i dont realy use an odds calculator cause im abit of a beginner still im mostly playing freerolls and then i work my way upp to a nice stack at the ringgames.

I don't use any method of calculating odds... i go 100% by instinct... players who do use odds to control their game are usually conservative and easy to bluff off of a hand.

I used the calculator for a while but I ddidnt really like it so I really play instinct and try to do the odds in my head, I think it is better because you play freely your own way and with the calculator it is telling you what to do and it might just be better to risk some chips to try and improve your hand.
weel thats what I think and how I play. but maybe the calc works for other people. if it works for u than use it

I have the odds calculator but i rarely use it. It does you no good when you go to the casinos but if its important or a major tournament I use it sometimes. It does work really good i must say.

Did you really say this? Was this written on a dare ?

I would venture a guess that every sinngle bad beat story down in the bad beat thread could be explain because some one had odds to do what they did. Until you make calculating adds a part of your game you will never know what it is like to win on a weekly basis.

Please dont start playing for money that is important to you if this is your main feeling on this subject.

You can't just go with instinct 100%.

People who use odds, don't use odds to control their game, they use them to help them make difficult decisions. Your not going to bluff off the winning hand. People who use odds, in general, lose small pots, and win big pots. This could give the illusion, in the short term, that they are conserative, but in reality, they are not.

I don't use any odds calculator, unless you count my head as a calculator. I don't go only on instinct but I calculate the odds myself but most of the time, I'm usually wrong. I may have to look into an odds calculator but I don't want to rely on something like that to make my calls, it doesn't seem right...
