Default Poker wisdom

ill start out with some poker wisdom a wise man told me.
treat every round of betting as if it were the first. also for you to try to forget about the previous betting rounds and the money you contributed to the pot. so overall you should focus on the task or hand that is present and forget about the past unless it is a tell on your oppoenet.

i have started the wisdom i am interested in what all of you have to say about poker wisdom.

here is another thing of poker wisdom that a wise man had told me a long time ago when i first started playing poker. read it is good
trust no one at poker. top-money winners do not. poker is a game for blood. if you want to play a good game you must leavefriendships behind and bet your hand for all it is worth.
thanks for listening i am interested to read what you guys have to say. thanks

Talking my wisdom

definitly some good bits of wisdom there! a wise man (me) once said, after playing agressive for years I have finally become a tighter player, and if there is one thing i learned...its certainly easier to win the hand when you have the best cards.

Exclamation no friendly poker

Good tips. especially the one of leave friendship out of poker. me and my friends get together to play holdem once a week and a lot of times they always want me to let them win and split prices or forgive the what they lost, I always tell them that they are crazy that if they wanna play poker they got to suffer the consecuenses. anyway nice poker wisdom.

True, completly true. if you play too loose with no good hand you are ore certain to loose the pot and a tight player always plays the best and has more probability of winning but I also think that a combination of both is the key to winning, because this way players really dont get to read you well. what do you think hugh?

this is a wisdom i got from HOH,,

5 and 10 are the only two cards which appear in all straight combinations.
thus, with a 5 or a 10 on the board. watch out for people who could be drawing to straights, especially the 10 as people tend to hold higher hands when plying pots

I heard quite similar advice, but it was stated in two other ways. I don't remember the exact words, but the basic essence was along these lines:

1. If you're worried about the money you've already bet and it causes you not to play your usual game, you're are playing at a stakes level that's too high for you.

2. You have to understand that once you put money into the pot, it's no longer yours. It's just money that's there to be won.

oh this is a good one
gotta remember that next time
poker is a little bit about odds so comes in handy

also what i know and learned(even if your a tight player and this is only for tournaments)
at the beginning when the blinds are so low and you got nothing just limp in if you can for 10 or 20 chips thats nothing and later on when you see flop, you can hit a straight or something else big(think of fullhouse, happens alot to me)
and if you got nuthing on flop and someone raises, just fold it only cost you 10 bux
later on when blinds get 100 maybe 200 you can play your usual tight game

PLUS players will prolly think of you as a loose player(and will be more likely to be trapped by you when you play real tight)

i only say this because i see some people fold while the call is only 10 bux
i just think thats a bit stupid plus you give the image of being a tight player
so sometimes your big hands dont even pay off

greetings,

HUNTER
