| I would slow play try to see if I any of the other players look like they are chasing or if a king flops. Then I would raise not high not to small.see if anyone changes the way they approch their game.Off course you run the risk of someone catches. So pay attention to who you are going against. | One thing that goes through my mind is what I know, if anything, about the players who are still to act after me. If there are some aggressive types who are likely to raise with any decent hand, I'll probably give serious consideration to limping in. I don't want too many people in the hand of course, but if I'm confident someone else will raise it up for me, then I may well be better off camouflaging my strength for the moment. On the other hand, if there's little or nothing to suggest this course of action, I'll simply make my normal raise - the exact amount depends how much the blinds are - and see what happens. |

| omg i just had this an hour ago, only it was freeroll at poker.com talk about a bad beat thats it i got aa first hand i go all in other guy calls he had 10a suited then comes flop: a jk (j and k same suit as his) then came another K so I had full house 3a2k then the last damn card was YOU GUESS IT : Q of clubs and if you play at pokoer.com you know sometimes it gets slow with the turn and river so it was really excitin but yeah that kinda stuff rarely happens and the only thing we can say is : THATS POKER Last edited by BBP Guru : 08-21-05 at 02:54 PM. | In early position with that hand I would call to be decitful and hope that I would get raised and make a smooth call. After the flop there is no way they could put me on a hand of pocket aces. The flop depending on what types of players are in would depend on what i would do. With aggressive style players I would check it. With conservative players I would make a bet of half the pot and with really tight players I would probably bet double the pot. |

| wrong strategy everyone first hand AA, nobody eve expects it what you should do is raise from early position, about a raise of 4x the BB will get you called by 3~5 people. remember it's start of the tourney, people will think it's not much and still call youto see the flop... ------------------------------------------------------- edit: ok so if the buy in is 10~20 dollars that means it's quite a large buyin sitngo. ok so if that's the case you should smooth call and reraise, yeah seeing as in those buyins, there's gonna be lots of players who read enough strategies etc that they'd think to play tight, but despite tight first hand they may generally limp in with anything semi decent to see cheap flop and as tables are, there's generally one maniac, he's gonna raise, and you reraise, that's gonna get most of the people who limped to fold, maniac usually going all in first hand, you call you get a bad beat by 27otypical. |

| Because I am more comfortable at some sites than I am at others.. I know when I preflop raises will be taken seriously on some sites and will they will not on some sites... I know that at Ultimate Bet, I have a bettre chance of slowplaying the AA successfully than I would at Absolute, meaning, there would be less people in the pot, to draw out on me.... UB plays tighter than AP, in other words... I would prolly go all in at Noble and get 12 callers at a 9 seated table. |
