I'm stopping playing KJ unless its suited and I'm in position. What do you think about KJ? You think I'm too tight?

It's even tougher when the opponent is acting like a calling station. They could be behind and chasing, or well and just letting you carry the betting. It helps if you have some kind of read, of course, but I think that over the long term, KJ is unlikely to be better than a marginally winning hand.

There is nothing 'wrong' with the way you played that hand...

more often than not, that scenario will win you the pot....

have to be able to give the AJ kudos, and move on to the next hand...

Only problem I see is that you were passive preflop with it. If you are going to be in the pot with this one make it a raise. With 2 callers ahead of you your hand could already be behind. If you make the raise to 3x BB you can put the remainder of the table on notice that you have a strong hand. If you get callers you can make the right read that you are behind and lay it down. Limping in like this and then letting him walk the dog on you gives you no room to make a move.

You should be happy that you dont lose much on that hand.
To me there's nothing wrong with the hand you play.

It's not that bad when you ran into a bigger hand in late position.
Your opponent has trapping you on that hand.

I perfer you playing a strong hand like KQs QA AK 10s Js Qs Ks As
or suited connector 10-J and up

In most poker strategy books and videos, KJ isn't even supposed to be a hand worth calling the big blind with, as it is a trap hand for beginner poker players.

However, I believe if the table is short-handed and there are not that many players in the hand, it can be one of the strongest hands.

Sure it can be a trap hand but the only hands that beat it are, KQ, KA, AQ, AJ, AA, QQ, KK, JJ, and KJ can beat some of those hands like JJ and QQ so it's a pretty decent hand sometimes...

Never liked KJ, even if its suited.

I learned pretty early to avoid this hand and i am proud of myself for being disciplined enough to avoid it, unless its like 3 man poker or less.

I agree with you completely. I don't even like to try to blind steal with K-J, even though it has worked for me a few times in the past, and even though most of the top pros recommend that you do. K-J in early and middle position is worthless. It's only playable in late position and in the blinds, and being suited can help or hurt, since it can trap you that much more.

I also find it frustrating when other people win with K-J, or any other trap hand like A-10, Q-10, etc.

Scott assessment is dead on...

If your gonna play that and, and you were in late position, so, no reason not to, a preflop raise would give you all the information you need to continue after the flop or not...

I still don't think it was wrong tho.... you had top pair with a decent kicker and lost little, compared to what you might have lost...

You were also fortunate that you were never put to the test by having to decide what to do if you were raised.
