YEs I know he is obnoxious, and I know that he is a whiner, but his tournament record speaks for itself. Just wnated to put out there that being obnoxious doesnt necessarily make you a bad poker player. ANyone have any thoughts about his World series of poker appearance this year?

Was really looking for a Raymer/Matusow final table, but no such luck. He played well I thought, and hopefully shut up some of those who discount him as a player. He's a good player, definately knows what he's doing. He has emotional responses to beats, and can be obnixious, but its no worse than Hellmuth.

How about a prison movie about Mike Matusow. It'd be like The Shawshank Redemption, except there'd be really bad bluffs and lots of crying.

I never really liked Erick Lindgren, and his throwing a welcome home party for cokehead Matusow doesn't impress me. If he had driven Mike's ass to the Betty Ford clinic and gotten him some help, that would impress me. Call me cynical, but I bet a lot of Vegas pros want Matusow on cocaine so he's easier to beat.

Sorry, I don't like the guy, same goes for Helmuth, and the Master. These guys crow when they win and cry when they lose. Helmuth even crys when he still has the biggest stack at the table.

Daniel or Jesus among others set the standard.

If i had to pick a pro to play with it would be Annie Duke

Anyone interested in Matusow, whether you like or dislike him, might want to check out the inteview he did with Cardplayer. It's been available on their website for maybe a week or so now.

Anmong other things, he talks about his meds, disdain for money, etc. he certainly doesn't come across as a likeable person in the least.

yeah he talks a little too much trash for my liking but thats just part of his game. If you saw the World Series this year you can't deny how great of a player he is.

He played superbly BUT if you saw his interview you also know how big of a ditch he had dug himself from online poker and sports betting. This WSOP he really buckled down. When he does this he is definitely one of the best in the game, it's just when he loses his control he becomes one of the worst.

I dont know about matusow i mean alot of players think he is good i just think he is absolute trash. (I am also a Hellmuth fan) But i still cannot stand the way he boasts and trashes Hellmuth when Hellmuth has such a better poker resume'. Yea i will admit he did well in the world series of poker this year but also you must take into consideration how long he has been doing the wsop and how many bracelets he has. 1 Year does not make a poker player great it is over the long haul in which players like Chan, Brunson Hellmuth, Ivey have dominated the game and shown that they really are the best in the game.

Mike is a blow-up away from ending his tournnament at anytime.... I still root for him against most other players but I have a friend who thinks hes the best around he is slowly converting me!!!!!!

Agreen did you catch Matsou and Dags going at it FT in the 200-400 limit? When MM hit his trips 7s and dags had AK which flopped him nothing yet he kept raising. Dags eventually hit runner runner to win on a flush. Mikey wasn't too happy after that. Did Dags end up busting him?
