I am from MN, where we just got a law passed to allow tournaments in bars. Just wondering how many of you play at the bars, and what types of payout/prizes are offered in the tournaments. I play online mostly (Absolute, Noble, CD Poker and Pacific) but wish I could find a good money tournament in MN to play-without having to go to the Poker Room at Canterbury.

Alltho not legal we play in the bars friday,sat,and sunday in three little towns witin 10 miles from where i live Its nice the Chief of Police plays in two of the games so it cant be to badthere just 20.00 dollar buy ins.
The Golf coursew in town has a tourney friday afternoons u might check them in your area.

Hey nice to meet you. wow thats interesting that they play tourn in bars, I'm from IN. and we have a few river boats they offer tourn, which I must say are pretty good I myself prefer Trump in Gary they offer the best tourn for a good price. LOVE, LIVE, LAUGH AND PLAY POKER.

Play poker in the bars?!
That is nice , but I hope its not blood everywhere after some tournament.
This method of playing poker seems risky to me..dnt wanna make money from mafia guys!
