Default Final Table Poker with Phil Gordon (DVD)

I watch Celebrity Poker Challenge and I have to say I really like the commentary that Phil Gordon gives during the show. I guess he meets with the celebs ahead of time and teaches them how to play...or at least trys to. Then he gives running commentary and I have from time to time taken a few pieces of wisdom which have improved my game. (I can't say the same about any other poker show)

I read his book, which was really disappointing to me after having read a few other books that did a better job of explaining the game than he did in this book.

So before I go an throw down a chunk of change to get this DVD, has anyone else seen it to be able to comment on it?

I am the lucky receipent of an autographed copy of the DVD, but I haven't had a chance to watch it yet.

I can however point you to some people who have -

In my opinion, anything Phil does is great. But, I might be a little biased....

Thanks for the pointers. It got some really good reviews, so I will no doubt put it on my list. How did you come across a signed copy of the show...and why haven't you watched it?

Anyway, for those who are interested, I got to thinking after your post to look for this and other poker DVDs through my online library catalogue. They have good books, like Supersystem, but long waiting lists. Well, no luck with the DVDs. But then NetFlix popped into my head and I went to take a look and sure enough Phil's DVD and a bunch of others are there, and available.

I've never used the NetFlix Free Trial offer, but this might be the time to do so. I know my local Blockbuster would never have these in stock.

I am friends with a few people who know Phil personally. They know I have a crush on him, soo....they take care of me when they can!

I haven't watched it yet because I'm in the middle of so many other books, etc. - I like to finish one before I move on to something else, ya know?

Great idea with the rental!
