Default WSOP Videogame

Activision has come out with a poker videogame based on the WSOP. It's available for PC, PS2, Gamecube, and XBox.

Based on this review, it sounds interesting. I like the graphics - very realistic to the WSOP (that big screen that shows the tourney time, etc. in the background of one of the game screen shots looks exactly like the one they used at the Rio this year). I also like the fact that you can apparently play all of the WSOP events - not just HE.

I haven't really been excited about Stacked, but I think the idea of poker videogames are interesting. This one looks to be more my style.

Yeah, I wasn't to interested in Stacked but this one looks pretty good. You can lose in the WSOP and then can play in many other tournaments and stuff. But the trouble with poker videogames is that you can just play on the computer with other people for free with play money so i don't know...

The main reason to play a poker "videogame" is because you're usually up against a great AI program, sometimes based on the play and theory of pros - not what you'll be getting at a low-limit cash table! You can treat them more like training programs. This article doesn't really talk much about the AI used in this game unfortunately. Still, games are a good way for you to try out different playing styles, strategies, etc. - without risking any real money.

It is even more interesting to see how the AI respond to your game. From what i heard about Stacked, it should display some of the actual moves of real pros.
Here's the cast:

Daniel Negreanu
Evelyn Ng
David Williams
Erick Lindgren
Josh Arieh
Jennifer Harman
Juan Carlos Mortensen

i am expecting the Artificial Intelligence of each player to be unique; making the game more exciting.
