I actually disagree with this completely. The more that I play online, the more I hate playing live simply because live games are longer and the people take so long to act. In online poker, everything is layed out for you and there is a definate time limit to act. Also, no one is sitting around saying "am I big blind?" or "is it my turn?". Simple organization makes me enjoy the online play more, as I can just sit back and play opposed to having to instruct my amatuer buddies. Although in terms of ATMOSPHERE, i guess a friendly home game would be better...

Well I would imagine that it would be very annoying playing with amateur friends just because you'd have to instruct them. When I say live atmosphere I don't mean a little home game trying to teach holdem to friends. When I do play with my friends close to home the blinds are $2/4 or $3/6, so the pots get pretty big. Also, poker in casinos is great as long as you don't sit with obnoxious tourists.

I'm in no way trying to put down your home games, I just mean that it's a lot better being able to play with friends who love to make the trip to AC with me.

In terms of home games, I gotta agree with BadAndy. The pace of some of my home games, despite reasonably interested players, is brutal. I'm not talking the occasional tangent (we're all friends and joke around), but people who just flat out pay no attention.

Personally, I do better online than I've done live against my friends so far.

let's see im actually a betetr poker live. I get bored when im online so i end up getting real agressive, which usually makes me lose. But in real live poker i have some peopler to talk to and things aren;t so boring and my game is on! The main reason i play poker is for fun and playing with people is just funner, which makes me better.

I believe I am a better poker player online. I manage my chip stack better, and it's easier to figure out situations online for me. I enjoy playing live more because it's more of a challange for me, but I feel that I am a better player online. Well, either that or the players online are worse. lol

I think i play extremely good poker online and make good decisions more than live but i make more live cause i dont have the ton of bad beats i take online. I just can't see how online poker is legit iwth all of the hands i see even if it does go a lot faster .

I play tighter and better in a live game. The atmosphere is usually nicer with some light banter. Plus when playing with real chips, it is makes them more valuable than just a number with $$ signs on the screen so you tend to take more time with decisions.

You still cannot beat the variety, conveniences and speed of online poker.

How are the casions in AC? I plan to go there the weekend after i turn 21 and make a nice lil bankroll for myself or blow it all .

Anyway back to the topic i personally perfer live games better than online games for the simple fact that there are more tells aviable in live games than in online games.
