They're comfortable and there are a lot of kiddie pools.

I love live action, the atmosphere is amazing and i don't have that bad of a poker face either. But by and by online poker is where i tune my live skills, can't play live every day can you?

Playing live is certainly different. I'm certain that with enough practice you can learn to control your emotions better and become a better live player. One thing that you need to remember is guys like Danny N. get away with smiling and being happy players and yet they aren't giving away their hands. I've watched Danny enough on t.v. and actually picked up a few tells of his. Same with Farha he has a couple also. Generally, they hide it well though. I'm sure all of us have tells that we aren't aware of. Guys like Jesus always use the same amount of time before they act to cut down on their tells. The problem with online is that you can sit in your room and yell at your monitor, swear and go crazy but you can't do that live. Learn to control it, you'll find live poker much more stimulating.

I think I'm much better online. I find that because I started by playing online it's more of a stigma I have now with my play. I can see what I'm doing when it's live, but my mind just won't put the same plays together. Online I find bluffing is a totally different style then in live poker, and when I try to do it live it comes out naturally the way that I would bluff online, and I usually get called. Oh well....

I have played a lot more online than live, and I have to say I'm better at playing online. I don't think it's a matter of pokerface for me, it's a matter of leveraging different techniques. There are some advantages to playing live, though. For one thing, it's easier to tell which of my opponents are drunk, and therefore more likely to make bad bets.

I played a little ring game of 5 card draw with some friends at a bachelor party many years ago. I was the only one not drinking, and I cleaned up.

Default acting

if you are a good actor you can play with the brains of your opponents...that's why i like live playing the game...i also enjoy online poker because of the faster play....
