| Ive tried it and its really bad. If i remember correctly the max buy in is $5 for a NL table with blinds of 2c and 4c. I found it really hard to get anywhere because it was hard to force people out of seeing flops so it just became a bit of a luck fest. Plus i usually play at the 25c/50c tables so i quickly got bored and lost my $5. I guess it is a good idea for those who are genuinely new to poker and not just to the site because you should really be playing with people of a similar standard. |

| I found precisely the same thing, that everyone wants some action and so everyone sees the flop and too many follow through to the river, resulting in a large number of bad beats and a higher than normal variance. That would be all well and good because we all learned in poker school that bad beats are good for us in the long run, but at $5 buy-in for NL it would take a long time to turn that variance around and make it worthwhile! Still, it's cool that it's there. Thanks for bringing it up! |
