The advertised freeroll was the only way I would have found this site. While it seems I was not invited to today's freeroll, I would have to say that I have found this site to be the best "poker strategy" site. I am not overwhelmed with banners and promotions. Instead, it is about poker. I appreciate it and will continue to return to read what others post. As a new player I may not post much more than questions, as I am trying to figure out ways to enjoy this game and maybe make a little money for the time spent. GL to those playing today. |

seems more then fair ..I personally like to post and I like the fact that you gave the rules and asked people to stick around and join in and in the future play in the tournys....just the other day I saw a new forum and the first thread from one of the mods was so rude I just clicked off and left....way too many tournys out there to be mean to the forum newbies....

That's definately not too much to ask for participating in a freeroll. I just found this site but I love it already. I like that there's not advertising everywhere and posts asking us to sign up for stuff all over the place.

I tend to agree with all of you. The passwords thieves and the people who just want into the freerolls shouldnt be able to just sign in and be done until the next tourney. There should be some requirments. And i think alot of the other forums should stand up and take notice. It should be the quality of the site not the quantity of members. You can have a thousand members who have never said a word. Compared to a few dozen who share and care about the sport. Yes i consider this a form of a sport. Its like golf anyone can swing a club its the artfull that can play well. I enjoy this site restrictions and all

Wheeloftime, you make great arguements about keeping the restrictions for the freeroll, I just dont know if I would consider the work restrictions as the correct term. I think it would be more of a requirement. If you are a productive member of the forum and make some good posts, you earn the points to play in the freeroll. I dont think a little typing for a chance at free money should hurt anyone. And I have cashed in 2 freerolls already, so you know I will keep posting to earn my way in. I have played in CardPlayer's freeroll that are monthly, and there are about 450 people signed up each month, only 20 or so who even post at all. And 200-250 of those 450 usually dont even show up!! I think this is a great procedure to use, and am more then willing to follow it and plan to tell others that I know that are respectful of the game and other people about BBP Forum.
