Default Wsop

Hi.

Well I wouldn't go that far just yet, but maybe the fever hasn't hit me fully.

I am making a start. I just won entry into into a WSOP qualifer tonight by placing 16 in a tourney of 350 participants.

Still a long road to travel, but it would be nice to realize my "15 minutes of fame" in grand style by appearing on TV someday.

LOL....yeah, right....

DREAM ON, BEAR !!!!

Slayre wins!!

You can't see me at the Main Event, but you can see me in the background of the $1500 limit event, when they get down to heads up. I was rather bored. Limit tourneys take forever.

This year it looks like I'll be hitting the WSOP in mid-July, so I'd LOVE to play in one of the cheaper NL events, but I will need some sort of major bankroll boost in order to do that.

Or I could win the lottery.

It's not a major goal to play in the WSOP, so while I'm playing some qualifiers and satellites, I'm not making any kind of plan for how to win my way there. If I get lucky and happen to make it, fine. If not, also okay.

LMAO at slayer. That just gave me a nice laugh. I am the same way as a few others seam to be. I will just play online because I'm not a big fan of live poker anyway. I am also one who feels that when tourneys have real large entries that skill is taken down to almost nothing and since I feel (like every other poker player in the world) that I have decent poker skill I want to use all of it and not have as much luck get in the way. Go Ferguson though.

Default good question

I'm just going to play all over the place and hope it works out again. I qualified last year through fulltilt.

Qualifying through an online site is cool in a number of ways:

1. You usually get a package to cover expenses.
2. You usually get merchandise.
3. You often get a chance to spend some time with pro players.

Number 3 is much more likely if you qualify on a smaller site.

There are promotions all over the place to qualify. From 10 cent tournaments on the Action Network (Tiger gaming) to free tournaments on Bugseys, to qualifiers all over (pokerhost, you name it close to date, they'll have qualifiers).
