Let me get this straight. You were allowed to show your cards while others were trying to play still. LOL...never seen that before. Guess your glad you weren't playing professionally or online. I don't think I would ever have showed him anyways because I would have wanted him to call...if he ended up hitting his 4 outs for a str8 on me I made the right move. Nice ending though for you.

The things you say amaze me buddy. 1st I said I was playing in a home game and not online. Though I'd like to consider myself a "Pro" my home games aren't consider professional and if you want to give someone a flash of your cards we allow that.

Also were you get he has only 4 outs? He had an up and down straght draw so thats 8 outs right there and if he hits one of his 9 he gets the boat which gives him 2 more outs. So he had 10 outs and he was the chip learder and could knock me out so I was glad he folded and I got to take in a decent pot and live another day. I was even happier when I saw he would have made his straight.

Let me know if you ever want to play in a heads up game in Titan. I would just love it!

Generally you aren't allowed to show your cards during a hand while in tourney play, but of course every house has their own rules, and if it's allowed, it can be an effective tool.

It's fairly standard to be allowed to "table" your hand in a cash game - many people do it in an attempt at seeing their opponents reaction if they flip over aces or some other solid hand.

I'm amazed by your inability to read over what you've typed. First, Astros never said that you weren't at a home game. Second, work on those typos before you attempt to come at someone else.

AGREEN - I'm sorry my grammar and spelling isn't to your liking. I thought I was in a poker forum and not writing a thesis, but I will try my best to read over everything I type from now.

FYI I used spell and grammar check on this one so it should be to your liking

It's just ridiculous when you write a post in two minutes and don't even put an ounce of effort into its writing. If it's worth doing then do it completely.

I read over my post before I posted it and I'm sorry I missed the typo (maybe multiple typos) and a few run on sentences. Spelling and Grammar has never been my strong point. Im sorre that I kant spel very well. (joking)

Anyway, I sincerely apologize if my posts aren't to your liking (spelling, grammar, and the quality of my posts) and I will do my best to meet your posting expectations in the future. (spell checked this one and re read it multiple tmies) I wouldn't want to upset a fellow South Jersey Poker Player.

Wow, do you hit up AC any? I've yet to run into another player who makes it there regularly.

Depends what you mean by regularly. I usually make it down there a couple of times a month when I'm not on the road for work. I usually spend the majority of my time at the Borgata though I have played in a couple of tournies at the Taj.

I don't know if I'm a real "regular," but I usually go down eight or nine times a month. I've only been playing at the Taj for two months now, so I haven't really played any of their tournaments. I do spend a chunk of each trip at the Borgata. Whenever I'm down it's from 9pm to maybe 3am. I'm not on the road for work, but it does get in the way of my playing.
