| Anybody heard about the $10 Million Dollar buy-in tournament? It's going to be the biggest televised poker deal ever. The first show is scheduled for Wednesday July 12, 2006 with 6 participants. | The interesting thing is, are the people who have and wish to spend $10 million on a buy-in the same people who are the best at poker? It almost seems more likely that a Bill Gates-type would be more likely to play something like that than a pro poker player, who can enter tourneys with much less personal risk. Then again, I guess they could get staked, or if it was going to be lots of Bill Gates-types, that would make it attractive to a pro who could get the cash. |

| During the WSOP I saw Negreanu interviewed and he said that the Main Event should be more like this, a really worthy entry fee. The $10k can be put up by a lot more rookies and satellites. I think he suggested it be a $1 Million buy in, maybe it was half a million. |
