Default dominating a table

I have tried it a couples of times and have only really had success once. I was lucky on the day to get called when i really had a strong hand. The other times I found it rally hard to dominate and I am sure it gave the impression most of the times that I was bluffing.

How do you dominate a table?? How do you set the difference between a bluffing and domint play.

it is about playing a lot of hands and bluffing alot, but u also just want to get the small pots out of the pot as much as possible. if they come back firing maybe its time to leave, but its mostly up to you.

Bluffing alot that is the key huh? Maybe after you have doubled up with a solid hand and built a big stack so you can push people around. Its hard to bluff a lot when you got nothing especially when you are playing with a bunch of very loose players and calling stations. I think you just need to adapt to the players your playing with. You can easily dominate a bunch of tight players with a big stack by attacking, but if your playing a lot of loose players with a small stack good luck bluffing a lot.

If you think dominating a table means bluffing all the time, you must be joking. The people who really dominate the table are the ones who catch those bluffers and take a lot of their chips. If you want to go arround bluffing online to steal blinds, far be it from me to stop you, but the other players will end up catching you and getting your chips.

If you want to act strongly upon the table you better have an excellent read on the table and not just be playing anything. If you can read a table very well, play like you can, if not, just play solid cards.

Most of the time this works for me.

I agree. Bluffing is not how you dominate. At least pure stupid bluffs. The way you dominate is by playing solid and getting up. Showing down with the nuts builds repsect. Then you could begin to take some chances on lesser hands and hoping you can scare people out.

When you are really on - then try semi bluffs such as betting on flush draws, etc... This is when you can really get up.

However, domintion is not easy, especially live. I think you should try such tactics but integrate them into your normal game.
