Details have just been released for WPT Season 5 - and there are some noticeable changes. Gone is the Party Poker Million (a limit event, which was unique) and the Ultimate Bet Aruba Classic (never did win my trip....). WPT says "circumstances have changed" since they've come out with wptonline.com, but it's not hard to figure out what's happening. What's interesting is that they are keeping the Poker Stars Carribean Adventure (good, because I REALLY want to go there!). Perhaps they felt Stars was too big a target to push around?

It is good to see that they kept the Grand Prix de Paris in the Aviation Club de France. In my opinion that was the most entertaining event from last year. The Ultimate Bet tourny wasn't that good, it seemed like there were too many weak, new players. I never got to watch the whole Party Poker Million, but since I'm playing a lot of limit now it could be fun and/or helpful.

I agree that I am happy that they are keeping the paris event. First, it is really cool to see them use the plastic cards instead of only using chips.
That is so different.
Also, the atmosphere in paris is great. You get to see the European players which is always cool in their backyard.
