| I'm sure most if not all of you have heard about the challenge that Andy Beal has issued to Doyle Brunson, Jennifer Harmon, etc. You may recall that Beal played these masters before for the highest stakes, and won. (Check out The Professor, The Banker, and the Suicide King for more on the story). Beal has been asking for another game, going so far as to publicly challenge the pros in magazines, newsgroups, etc. The pros have resisted for a while, debating location, stakes, game, etc., but tonight it's on. They'll be playing at the Wynn, rumor has it stakes will be 100K/200K. Jen chatted about the game on FTP - shanekeating (Observer): awesome wharnew: t Jennifer Harman: first time for about 1 1/2 years JDjos: andy beal? Almsot all the others arent close! JDjos: im gonna jump out of my window..brb shanekeating (Observer): if i may ask, who are the new ones? Jennifer Harman: I dont think you would know them. They play 2K and higher at the Bellagio but they don't play many tournaments Bearski1919 (Observer): Jennifer, can you show us your emotions, please? Jennifer Harman: theres always a chance it might not go though shanekeating (Observer): yeah i suppose there is that chance GoBucksIndy (Observer): hahaha... the frown is sweet Bearski1919 (Observer): thanks, lol Jennifer Harman: were playing for sure though shanekeating (Observer): cool, that has to be nerve wracking Rileysdad (Observer): sup jen Jennifer Harman: hi riley Rileysdad (Observer): u'r my favorite player Jennifer Harman: it's kind of tense cause it's out of the norm Jennifer Harman: thanks riley shanekeating (Observer): which is what andy wants, right? Jennifer Harman: yes it's what Andy wants Jennifer Harman: be right back (Thanks to Iggy for the chat transcript)

| Is there anyway to see this if we don't happen to be there? I did read The Professor, The Banker, and the Suicide King, but I would like to see it instead of read about it afterwards. You knew this guy would be something was you read how much he made counting cards and how he was banned from a few casinos. Oh yeah, him making a ton of money over the years would definitely help to support the bankroll that he wants. |

| Here's what I've heard so far: Quote:
That was posted Thursday, so the game would have been then. Bluff has a page they say they're going to be updating, but they don't have any details there, and it's been days since anything has been posted. CardPlayer does have a page up, and it looks pretty solid. http://www.cardplayer.com/poker_news...l.php?p_id=803

| It is over. The Corporation finished up on Beal by about 3.3M. Ted Forrest played against him most of the time, Todd Brunson was first to play and lost a little. Jennifer Harmann lost and David Grey played for only a few minutes because Ted wanted some more action. It took place over 5 days. Andy Beal wanted to keep the sessions short, which would help him, but Ted and Jennifer dragged out the sessions. Andy Beal played good poker. Don't disrespect him in any way, you have to admit it takes guts to play against pros with $50k/$100k blinds in limit. It was very back and forth for the most part, until Ted hit a run of cards and made a couple full houses on the flop. He also made quad queens and got some good money. Andy folded a few ones like when he flopped top two and Ted rivered a set. He showed his cards in disgust at the river and Ted showed his rivered set. I can't wait for a book to come out on this one. |

| Well that didn't last long!! The game is back on. Apparently he took a few million off Jen Harman last night. Bluff and Cardplayer are both covering the game as best they can.
