Does anyone know what happened with the tourny? Did they cancel the tourny or just postpone it? I was in 22nd place when they cancelled it and I was just getting ready to make my move!!

Well this is the pop up window I got:

"Due to Internet connection problems with our service provider, we must cancel the tournament. It will be re-scheduled next week for ALL players who have participated."

It's too bad I had moved up to 22nd place and now they had to cancel it, but I guess its only fair with the connection problems everyone was dealing with.

Man that's a tough break. What's the payout like?

It paid the first 90. I think 1st was $2200 and 2nd was $1000 or so. Then anyone in the top 10 I think got $100+ depending on place. 81-90 was 20 bucks and each 10 places up bumped up $5 to $10 bucks I believe. Oh well hopefully I'll start as well next week.

So they are restarting the entire tourny, or just restarting from where you were in 22nd?

Tilt is the only site I've been on when this happened in a buyin tourny, but it was ITM and they paid it out accordingly plus gave everyone their buyin back.

Happens frequently at Party too, with their freerolls. There they usually award the prize money out depending on your chip count at the time.

who knows. The game was going, then it was break time and then I get the messege it has been cancelled. I wish they gave me my cash for 22nd. I think it was $60 or $80 bucks, but I think they are restarting from scratch. Hopefully they will work out the kinks before they restart it and the 50k one at the end of the month.

Well this is what they ended up doing:

"Due to unforeseeable technical problems with our Internet service provider, we were forced to cancel the $10,000 Grand Opening Sunday Freeroll Tournament.

For those players who were still in the tournament when it was canceled, the prize money will be distributed as follows:

- Total prize money: $10,000
- 50% of the prize money ($5,000) will be divided evenly among all players
- 50% of the prize money ($5,000) will be divided according to chip count

We deeply apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you, and we look forward to welcoming you to the next tournament.

I got 22nd place and I ended up getting like $21 bucks. I guess thats not so bad... I would have like to keep playing and see if I could have done better then $21 bucks.

That just stinks because you were doing well and would have hit a much bigger payday. This would have been awesome if you were the first guy knocked out.
