| I don't know that many (if any) of you play at Empire, but if you do or did, you likely were affected when Party booted Empire off their system. Empire cried foul and they've been fighting it ever since. Yesterday, they reached a conclusion - Party bought Empire. Quote:

| Plenty of poker sites are selling and buying each other lately. I wonder why this is. Does anyone know why some sites are trying to sell off? As goes for Empire poker, I've never played there or at party poker so I don't really care about the news too much. I've always heard a lot more of party though and very little of empire so I don't think this will have much affect on the poker world. Also, has anyone heard the latest news on pokerstars selling their site. Thanks for any help

| I think a lot of the sites are selling because now is a good time to do so. Many people think the poker boom will soon bust, so if you have something you can sell right now for a nice chunk of change, why not do it? Haven't heard anything on the Stars sale...they were asking a pretty hefty sum, and there's really not anybody out there who can pay it.

| I had played at least a dozen Prima sites. Getting their sign-up or Free Bonuses, clearing it, then moving on to the next Skin (basic Bonus Ho-ing) was the most profitable. So when Empire wouldn't let me open an account, it suprised me. My basic motto for online poker was "Don't Play Unless a Bonus in on the Way". It kept me in the black last year. This year's motto is "Stay Away from BJ". Iceberg. |

| I never had a problem going to both Empire and Party Poker. Had accounts at both and cleared both of the $25 and $35 free bonuses after the 125 and 150 raked hands promotions. In creating the accounts I was never under the impression that I wasn't suppose to have accounts at both so I'm glad it worked out for me. I was under the impression that your only suppose to play at one prima site too? Am I correct or do they not inforce this policy. |

| There are ways around every site's policy. Pretty much all you need is another e-mail address.
