Thumbs up

[quote=flyer187]What does everyone think of the idea behind the 100 million freeroll, I mean hitting the specific royal flush they're after (spades I think) would run into many millions - i bet the insurer who's guaranteed the prize are a little nervous though

flyer187[/QUOT

Nervous? Are you kidding, this has to be the surest thing to insure since hurricane insurance sales in colorado. It is virtually impossible, to hit a royal flush when both of your pockets MUST be used to win. Also multiply those odds by 400% with the whole spade thing.

Its a cool gimmick tho, plus the final table is live at what would have to be an outside USA casino somewhere. Ill happily take the 3rd place prize tho.

yea i think this will at least be semi rigged...what king of insurance company is willing to fund for im not sure quad 10s up? also not only does it have the "using both pocket cards rule" but if you have to hit it in the first 260 hands dealt during the final table...considering that the chance of hitting a royal flush alone are 1 in like 2.5million hitting it for spades makes it like a 1 in 10million chance not to mention having both pocketcards which i give it 2x more. i hope this insurance company takes the big one

The final table is played live though, so it'd be hard to guarantee no jackpot even though the odds of it coming are ridiculous. The prizes for quads and up are only a few thousand, which is nothing to Titan and the corporation backing the jackpot.

That insurance company better get ready to pay up big. I plan to hit a royal flush once I make it to the final table!

Whats up with changing the date on this tourney. When I qualifed the event was suppose to be on April 30th. Now they have increased the freerolls and pts tournies letting more people qualify and pushed the date back to May 21 allowing a lot more people to qualify. Good luck to all the fellow BBP players, but I'd much rather them cut down on the qualifing freerolls and stick with the regular date. I liked my chances when there was only a 1000 people in there, but with 2000 my chances at the $100 Million are looking a little slimmer.

Heres the details about the insurer:

The $100,000,000 Jackpot Prize is re-insured by National Indemnity Company, which is a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway Inc. (NYSE: BRKA) – one of the world's biggest insurance companies. With such a secure backing for this unprecedented prize, you can rest assured that payment will be paid if any player holds the qualifying five cards.

I'm sure that they will pay but the chaces are very small.
I didn't qualify by now.
